How do I install a digital decoder in a marklin model locomotive?

Marklin in Germany make AC (alternating current) 3 rail model trains. Electronics now play a big part of model railways and these locomotives have and can have tiny PCB's (printed circuit boards) known as decoders installed in them. The AC decoders for marklin do not come with a plug and socket like DC trains, - I would like to know how to A. test a faulty decoder and change a faulty decoder over and B. Install a decoder into a model that does not yet have one. if there is demo I can download that would be perfect?

  1. This is probably a better question for a hobbies board. Or the following links: http://www.greenspun.com/bboard/q-and-a.tcl?topic=Wiring+for+DCC http://www.modelrailroadnews.com/pages/april2004.html
  2. Look if problem like it occur that you are mentioning here so it is not outer fault but it is internal fault so just go to mechanic and short out it ..........................
